About Us

Land Park Montessori School has taken over an already existing Montessori School which in turn took over a previous Montessori School that was established in 1979. In effect, Land Park Montessori School is a continuation of the highly acclaimed Montessori method.

Welcome!

Land Park Montessori School does not discriminate in providing services to children and their families on the basis of race, religion, cultural heritage, political beliefs, national origin, marital status or sexual orientation.  Children are not required to be toilet trained to attend.

Philosophy & Mission

It is the goal of Land Park Montessori Pre-School to provide high quality care and education in a safe, nurturing environment to the children and the families we serve. We offer a curriculum that engages children actively in the learning process and provide a variety of strength based learning experiences. Children focus on art, science, math and literacy development through their work on ongoing explorations and project work that is planned from the ongoing interests and questions of children.

In addition, we work on community building through friendship development, social skill development and cooperative group learning.

Our mission of education in the preschool is the development of the “Whole Child,”intellectually, socially, emotionally, and creatively, within the context of a caring, multicultural community.

Helping Your Child Explore, Grow, & Learn

Land Park Montessori School strives to develop the “Whole” personality of the child, not merely the intellectual faculties, but also the powers of deliberation, initiative and independent choice, with their emotional compliments. By living as a free member of a real social community, the child is trained in those fundamental social qualities which form the basis of good citizenship.
